When a migraine hits, most people are unable to perform their daily activities. This neurological condition is incapacitating and comes along with:

  • Throbbing head pain, usually one sided
  • Sensitivity to light, sound, and odors
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Visual disturbances

Because it is becoming such a common condition, researchers are on the move to try to find a way to help people cope. Migraines are complex in nature and are as unique as the people suffering from them. What works for one person may or may not work for another. It is reported that as many as 70% of people are not completely satisfied with the care they are receiving to help them cope with migraines.

A new product is under development that is supposed to increase oxygen-rich blood flow to the brain and effectively remove waste products. Reduced blood flow has been seen to be one of the main contributing factors to migraine pain. This new medication is similar to an inhaler. It uses exhaled breath to prime the device and then delivers a special aerosol deep into the nasal cavity. The nasal cavity is made up of many blood vessels and the aerosol is supposed to open them up, causing increased flow of blood to the brain. This product is not appropriate for all consumers and is still being tested.

Natural, Long-Lasting Relief

We offer an alternative to medication to our migraine patients by focusing on realigning the upper cervical spine. The C1 and C2 vertebrae are susceptible to misaligning due to their shape and location. If a misalignment occurs here, even if it is as small as ¼ of a millimeter, it can have a negative impact on the brainstem, hindering blood flow to and from the brain.

We employ a gentle method that allows the bones of the neck to realign more naturally than popping or forcing them into place. This restores communication, regulates blood flow, and is often all that is needed to see an improvement in migraine pain. Some see their migraines go away permanently.
